We’re on our way to our 1st trip to Asia and i can’t possibly be more excited. We are spending 2 full days in Hong Kong and then 8 days in Thailand. We departed from Miami Int airport to (JFK) New York and then a non-stop flight to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific Airlines, which is known as one of the top airlines in the world.

Part 2: Cathay Pacific New Business Class Seats – New York To Hong Kong

This vacation was completely accomplished with points and miles earned from credit cards. We’re flying on Cathay Pacific Airlines new business class by redeeming 55,000 miles earned from the signup bonus we each received from Citi AAdvantage Visa credit card.

Once we arrive to Hong Kong we’re staying 2 nights at the JW Marriott for which we redeemed 80,000 Marriott Reward Points per night. This is a great deal considering the asking price for the JW Marriott was over $500 per night.

Then we’re planning to stay 5 nights at the Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort, Thailand. We used 40k starwood points earned from our American Express Starwood Credit Card to stay all 5 nights for free. This was also a big saving because 1 night at this hotel was going for $250 or more.

Finally our last 3 nights are planned at the Le Meridien Bangkok, Thailand. This is another 5 star hotel with great reviews from tripadvisor and its also in the middle of everything which is great since we have only 3 days to tour around Bangkok before heading back to Miami. The best part is that we only had to redeem 21,000 Starwood Preferred points for all 3 nights. Most 5star hotels in Bangkok have lower points requirements than other places in the world which is great.

For our return flight we’re trying Thai Airways A380 and their new business class seats, which is one the biggest planes in the world and our seats are in the 2nd floor. This flight has a stop in Tokyo where we’ll change planes and go on ANA airlines to Miami.  We redeemed a total of 60,000 United Miles each for these flights to get back home.  Almost all of these points were earned from the sign-up bonus we received for the Chase United Mileage Plus Explorer Visa.

I can’t wait to try Thai Airways A380 new business class seats!

This entire vacation was accomplished with points and miles earned from credit cards and thanks to this we saved over $20,000 dollars which is the retail cost of this trip.

Throughout this trip i will review all the Hotels and Airlines we used, as well as our destinations – Thailand and Hong Kong. I will  also explain how this trip was accomplished for free.  After everything all we spend out of pocket were some taxes and small booking fees, totaling no more than $300 dollars for both us. With a little planning and using the right credit cards you can also travel to your favorite Destinations almost for free. My mission is to help others travel around the world for free by showing them which credit cards can help them get to their desired destinations.

Stay tuned for more from this trip……
