First Safari vacation in Kenya, Africa.

The great migration in Kenya, Africa.

The great migration in Kenya, Africa.

We’re on our way to Kenya in Africa for our first Safari adventure. We’re on the plane now getting ready for a total of 3 flights and almost 30 hours of travel time till we get to our final destination. I can’t explain how excited we are to experience a little bit of Africa and the animals. This has been a childhood dream of mine to see all these beautiful animals in their natural habitat.

Unfortunately due to work and other upcoming events this won’t be as long of a trip as we liked but we plan to make the best of every minute in Africa. We’re only spending a total of 8 days in Kenya but am sure we’ll be back with more time to explore this beautiful country.

This will be our room/ tent in Africa.

We’re staying for 5 nights at The Fairmont Mara Safari Club in Kenya. This is a beautiful all tents and camping rooms safari club right in the middle of the action in the Masai Mara. The Fairmont Safari Club is right by the river where you can see and hear the hippos and Crocodiles from your tent. We chose this hotel due to its great reviews on TripAdvisor and the Chase Fairmont Visa card. This is normally a $600 per night hotel and we got all 5 nights for FREE with this credit card. The Chase Fairmont Visa offers 2 free nights at any Fairmont hotels in the world. I still can’t believe that between both of us, we managed to get 5 FREE nights at this beautiful 5star Safari in Kenya. We each got 2 nights for free with the Chase Fairmont Visa for a total of 4 nights and with the help of my parents we got the other night free also.

These are some pictures of the safari jeeps that we'll using with the Fairmont Safari club.

I will have a full review of our first experience in Africa once this trip is over and hopefully great pictures and information for future travelers interested in going to an African safari without breaking the bank. For now you may follow this trip on our Award Travel Points Facebook or Intagram pages for daily pictures and information on this adventure.

Please contact us with any questions you may have on traveling on the cheap to any specific destination and we’ll be happy to get you there.
