See animals in a zoo is great if you live in an area where there isn’t much wildlife but coming to Africa is a completely different experience. Seeing these big animals roaming the plains of the Maasai Mara was amazing.
The entrance of our wonderful hotel the Fairmont Mara Safari Club.
The Fairmont Mara Safari Club is a top notch hotel in the Mara North Conservancy in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This hotel has become very dear to us for it’s amazing location, beauty and especially, their great staff and exceptional customer service. In our previous blog, we mentioned our safari tour-guide driver, Henry. Henry was absolutely wonderful. Starting with his over 10 years experience in game drives in the area, his personality makes you want to stay forever. He has definitely won a place in our hearts for as long as we live. Anne, at the reception, was also astounding in helping us with whatever we needed. What made our experience in Kenya that much better was the fact that everyone was friendly and eager to help at all times. No matter if it was first thing in the morning or the middle of the night. So today, I will be writing a review on our experience staying in this hotel.
Our amazing safari group guide Henry.
After spending 3 days in our 1st Safari ever in Africa’s Maasai Mara all I can say is that this place is amazing!!! There’s no words that can describe how beautiful this place and the animals are. Our trip started a little rocky after getting our camera stolen at the airport as soon as we arrived in Nairobi, Kenya. We had to get over real fast and look for a camera asap before our Safari a day later. Who wants to be in a Safari without a camera?! That was a disaster in the making but luckily we found a camera just hours before our flight to the Safari lodge in the Masai Mara. After the trip we’ll have full reviews of our trip and our Safari camp and Kenya in general. For now here’s my favorite pictures of our first 2 days in Africa’s Masai Mara Safari:
The great migration in Kenya, Africa.
We’re on our way to Kenya in Africa for our first Safari adventure. We’re on the plane now getting ready for a total of 3 flights and almost 30 hours of travel time till we get to our final destination. I can’t explain how excited we are to experience a little bit of Africa and the animals. This has been a childhood dream of mine to see all these beautiful animals in their natural habitat.
