Barcelona is such a great city. With the perfect amount of beach and city, I can most definitely live here. Starting with the food. It’s surprisingly cheap to eat. And aside from the food being affordable, the entertainment is intriguing. Like the traditional flamenco show. You’ve seen nothing in Barcelona if you don’t attend a flamenco show.
See animals in a zoo is great if you live in an area where there isn’t much wildlife but coming to Africa is a completely different experience. Seeing these big animals roaming the plains of the Maasai Mara was amazing.
Lions, elephants, hyenas, leopards, monkeys, gazelle and antelopes galore, crocodiles, wildebeest, zebras… The list goes on and on of animals you see on a daily basis when on safari. It is truly amazing to witness how they act in the wild and how close the drivers take you into the action. Most of them know a lot about the animals and their behaviors. Take our guide Henry from the Fairmont Mara Safari Club. He is outstanding! Really knows his stuff and makes everyone feel comfortable with his extraordinary personality. Two thumbs up for this great tour guide. Hopefully, if you decide to visit Kenya and stay in the Fairmont Mara Safari Club, you are privileged with Henry as your driver and tour guide.
Recently, we’ve been asked why go to Thailand? What is so special over there that is making it so popular? Truthfully, we became interested in Thailand a few years ago when searching for our next adventure.
My husband has always loved Asia so when we started reading on things about Thailand and how inexpensive it was over there, it intrigued us. We then started noticing different movies that were filmed there. It was then, we realized how beautiful it was. So we made the bold decision to make a trip of it with some friends. What a great idea! First, I’ll mention briefly where we stayed both times we visited Thailand…
Some people believe Bora Bora is beautiful but not worth the trip because they feel there’s nothing to do or feel they’ll be very limited by being stuck in the hotel. And, this might be true to some extent. We, ourselves, had postponed our trip because we worried we’d get bored for the same reasons. You see, we’re the type of people who like to stay active, even on vacation. So, naturally, we assumed just because it was a small island that there would be nothing to do. Boy, were we wrong…
Swimming with black-tip sharks was definitely an experience of a lifetime. Although, these are not comparable to the great white or the tiger shark, it can still be scary at first to jump in the water with them. Especially, if it’s in open ocean, where it is easily 100 feet deep at least. This is what happened to us when we decided to buy the tour.

In March we did our 1st trip to Asia and spend 2 days in Hong Kong and 7 days in Thailand. This was an amazing trip and a once in a life time experience and now we are sharing our experiences and stories with everyone. We would also like to show everyone how they can too make trips like this possible for almost no money out of pocket. This is our review of The JW Marriott Hong Kong Hotel. Here’s the top 10 places in the US according to LonelyPlanet.com that should be on travelers’ radars in the coming year. 1. Grand Rapids & Lake Michigan’s Gold Coast
Beach bums, beer lovers, and art enthusiasts agree: there’s a lot to love about western Michigan this year. Grand Rapids, Michigan’s second-largest city, was voted best beer city in the US by the national Beer Examiner blog in 2012 and 2013, and its beer-tourism revolution rages on. Over 25 craft breweries pour in the area, and events like Cool Brews Hot Eats and the Winter Beer Festival (both in February), and the Summer Craft Beer Festival (August), keep the city festive year-round.
