Barclaycard Arrival Cards Incredible Offer – Travel Bonus Category and Redemption Options

By Guillermo Rodriguez (Award Travel Points)

Barclaycard Arrival Offer

The Barclaycard Arrival World MasterCard – With $89 Annual Fee waived for the first year comes with an amazing bonus of 40,000 bonus miles (~$440) if you make $1,000 or more in purchases in the first 90 days after account opening and earns 2X miles on all purchases. This is one of the very best travel credit cards at the moment which I highly recommend. If you’re married it’s even better because if both of you get approved for the card you’ll have over $900 dollars to redeem for free hotels or flights. That’s what my wife and I accomplished by both getting this card and we redeemed our bonus points for a total of 7 free nights at different hotels in Italy.  CLICK HERE TO APPLY!

Limited Time Offer! 50,000 Miles for Lufthansa Miles & More World MasterCard: Enough for Free Flights to Europe, Hawaii or Other Top Destinations

By Guillermo Rodriguez (Award Travel Points)

Earlier this year, the Barclays Lufthansa Premier Wold MasterCard offered a 50,000 mile sign-up bonus for a limited time and this was an extremely popular card. Then it went down to just 30,000 miles. But now the 50,000 mile offer is back!  (Though the offer can be discontinued at any time), The card comes with 20,000 bonus miles after the first purchase and an additional 30,000 bonus miles after spending $5,000 within 3 months of account opening. If you think it might be difficult to complete the spending requirement in 3 months, see my different ways to accomplish this.

We haven’t signed up for this card yet since just a couple months ago I signed up for the Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard, a solid choice of $440 of travel credit for just $1,000 spending.  However before this year ends I am  definitely going to apply for the 50,000 mile Lufthansa offer from Barclays to earn more free flights.

50,000 Lufthansa Miles is enough to reach many destinations immediately so this is a great card to consider. Continue reading

Deal Alert: Earn Free Flights With The US Airways Premier World MasterCard

By Guillermo Rodriguez (Award Travel Points)

The US Airways Premier World MasterCard is offering 30,000 bonus miles after just the first purchase made with this card.

These are enough miles for a free flight to Europe between Jan and Feb every year, which makes this a must get credit card for those looking to visit Europe for Free. My wife and I each applied for this credit card and we earned enough miles after the first purchase for 2 free flights to Europe.
DSCN3681That’s much better than paying over $1200 per ticket right? You can also Earn an additional 10,000 bonus miles when you transfer a balance within 90 days of account opening. Start Traveling Soon For Free With The Barclaycard Arrival World MasterCard!

DSCN2306

Earlier this year we started using the Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard. We applied for this card a couple months ago when I was looking for a new travel rewards card that would earn me lots of points to redeem for free trips. This credit card has been great for my wife and I to accumulate lots of points for free flights and hotel nights. This is an awesome travel credit card that I recommend anyone interested in traveling for very cheap to have because you can redeem the points for free flights and hotels! This card is offering a huge welcome bonus of 40,000 points for first time customers which equals to $440 of free money to spend in hotels or flights. This is an offer that we should all take advantage of because its basically a gift of $440 dollars to redeem for travel. Since we’ve had this card for a couple months now, this is my review of The Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard.

Best Credit Cards for Miles and Points Beginners

Waikiki, Hawaii

Waikiki, Hawaii

People often come across my Blog in search for something travel related and are astonished by the miles and points world and all the possibilities. They want to know how to get in the game for free travel and the best way to enter. Friends and family and their friends will often hear about all the free trips they’re taking and then have the same question. The best way to start racking up miles and points is by signing up for a few credit card bonuses, but beginners need to know what the right credit cards are. So I put together a list of credit cards for beginner travelers.

Before starting, I’d like to issue a bit of a warning. You should only sign up for credit cards if you already have good credit and can pay off the balance in full every month. The APR on high yield rewards cards is high and carrying a balance and paying interest will quickly negate the value of any rewards you may earn. If you have the discipline to not rack up debt and keep your finances organized, the miles and points game can be extremely rewarding (and it is for me with luxury hotels and first class tickets). Although I lose 3–5 points on my credit score when I apply for a new credit card, it comes back after a few months. My score also benefits from having a low credit usage ratio, which means I have a lot of credit and use very little of it, making me look very responsible in the credit card bureau scoring model. After years of collecting miles and points, I’ve been able to maintain an excellent credit score of 750 and take great trips at the same time! Continue reading

Cathay Pacific Announces New Newark-Hong Kong Route – And How You Can Fly for Free On It

After teasing flyers last week with the impending announcement of a new route to the US (the possibilities were Boston, Miami, Newark or Seattle) of the big pieces of airline industry news this week is that Cathay Pacific announced a new route from its hub in Hong Kong (HKG) to Newark (EWR) that will start March 1, 2014 and will be the fifth daily flight from Hong Kong to New York.

Now, another route from the New York area to Asia might not seem like a huge deal, but there area a few reasons why this is good news for flyers – especially if you’ve been racking up the Oneworld miles on partners like American and British Airways. Continue reading
