I definitely like taking advantage of the off-peak deals that some Airlines offer because it means more free flights for less required miles.. US Airways has some very nice deals with its award chart if you happen to be traveling during the right period. If you still haven’t planned your winter trips, you may want to consider a getaway to Europe or South America. Either of these will cost only 35,000 miles round-trip in coach.  With the The US Airways Premier World MasterCard we can earn this miles after just the first purchase with the card. You could be flying for Free very fast with this card, which is why I highly recommend it!  Continue reading

Limited Time Offer! 50,000 Miles for Lufthansa Miles & More World MasterCard: Enough for Free Flights to Europe, Hawaii or Other Top Destinations

By Guillermo Rodriguez (Award Travel Points)

Earlier this year, the Barclays Lufthansa Premier Wold MasterCard offered a 50,000 mile sign-up bonus for a limited time and this was an extremely popular card. Then it went down to just 30,000 miles. But now the 50,000 mile offer is back!  (Though the offer can be discontinued at any time), The card comes with 20,000 bonus miles after the first purchase and an additional 30,000 bonus miles after spending $5,000 within 3 months of account opening. If you think it might be difficult to complete the spending requirement in 3 months, see my different ways to accomplish this.

We haven’t signed up for this card yet since just a couple months ago I signed up for the Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard, a solid choice of $440 of travel credit for just $1,000 spending.  However before this year ends I am  definitely going to apply for the 50,000 mile Lufthansa offer from Barclays to earn more free flights.

50,000 Lufthansa Miles is enough to reach many destinations immediately so this is a great card to consider. Continue reading

1. Earn Miles from Credit Card Spending

Using credit card rewards wisely is step one to earning your way to a free flight. Once you have one of the best travel rewards credit cards with mileage rewards, use it as your primary method of payment for your day-to-day expenses.

The key is to always pay your balance in full and on time; otherwise your miles earned will be a worth fraction of the interest you will owe. Savvy mileage collectors eventually find themselves charging utility bills, parking fees, or any other purchase they can use their credit card for.

2. Get a Credit Card Sign-up Bonus

Big spenders can earn a great deal of miles on their credit cards, one for each dollar charged. The rest of us, however, have learned that it can take years of spending to earn enough miles for a free flight. Fortunately, there’s a shortcut: sign-up bonuses. Continue reading
